The Yukon Ombudsman deals with complaints regarding public service in the province Yukon.
This includes the following authorities:
- Yukon government departments
- Yukon University and its board of governors
- Yukon crown corporations, commissions, boards and bureaus where its members are either appointed, public officers of the Yukon or responsible to the Government of Yukon
- Public Schools, Hospitals and Yukon Human Rights Commission
- Yukon Association of Educational Professionals and the Yukon Medical Council
If you feel like you’ve been treated unfairly by a public body in Yukon, then the Yukon Ombudsman can look into the matter as an impartial third party.
Before submitting a complaint to the Yukon Ombudsman, it’s encouraged to try to resolve the issue with the public body itself.
