Office of the Procurement Ombud

The Office of the Procurement Ombud deals with complaints regarding contracting disputes of the Government of Canada.

You can submit a complaint, if you feel like there was any wrong doing regarding the following subjects: 

  • Fairness, openness and transparency of federal departments, when acquiring material and services. 
  • The award of a contract for the acquisition of goods  below the value of $34,700 and services below the value of $139,000 where the criteria the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) would apply 
  • Any complaint respecting the administration of a contract for the acquisition of materiel or services by a department, regardless of dollar value

 

You can NOT submit a complaint about the following federal entities: 

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the staff of the Senate and House of Commons.
