The Association of Austrian Banks and Bankers represents the interests of credit institutions established in Austria that are organized as corporations. Its tasks include public relations, collective bargaining, supporting the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO) in its agenda, co-determination and participation in the committees of the EBF (European Banking Federation), and cooperation with (international and national) associations.
The Ombudsman's office of the Banking Association mediates on a neutral basis between private customers and member institutions. You can contact the arbitration board if you have any questions about banking transactions or if you need to resolve any discrepancies. The ombudsman is the right point of contact, especially if you have complaints that have not been satisfactorily dealt with by the bank, if there are entries on your account statement that could not be sufficiently clarified, or if you are missing information about the amount of account management fees.
