The General Consumer Arbitration Board of the Federal Office of Justice, founded in 2016, also took on the task of Federal Conciliation OfficeIt is therefore responsible not only for arbitration, but also for further training in this area. The arbitration model is communicated within professional associations, universities, and other public areas and brought closer to consumers and businesses.
The Federal Universal Conciliation Board is always responsible for dispute resolution if, as a consumer, no agreement could be reached with the respective company and no industry-specific ombudsman is responsible. As neutral mediators, the mediators do not represent either side, but make their legal expertise available to both parties.
