force since 2016. Its aim is to enable consumers across Europe to access out-of-court dispute resolution bodies when they have disputes with businesses. These bodies must meet certain requirements \u2013 for example, regarding professional competence, independence, impartiality and transparency.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"94\" data-end=\"800\">The situation is similar in the United Kingdom and the former British colonies. The dispute resolution  bodies base their decisions in part on the EU Directive but also on different but comparable legal precedents.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"94\" data-end=\"800\">Here you
